Everyone should have eaten there.

This is our first time in Marburg and we felt right at home in this café. The breakfast and the coffee are delicious, and the linden blossom tea is great too!

Wow! A super nice bistro with a fantastic outdoor area and friendly staff. The whole thing can only be topped by the magical food. I recommend the grilled goat cheese on a bed of baked apples and a portion of humus with bread. Simply delicious, the whole thing taken in the green, winding outdoor area and the soul thanks you! Gladly again :)

A nice café with a very nice atmosphere! I had a delicious breakfast there with delicious tea. The service was very friendly, unfortunately a little uncoordinated, it took a long time until she brought me a menu when I asked and I finally ordered at the counter because she never came back or kept running past me. Overall, however, a nice experience, I would come again!

What's up with the break? It was different today than usual ... no more homepage, closed earlier than usual, it is best to call in advance whether and until when it is open at all. Operation chaotic. Drink not brought. Please make your current opening times legible on the web. The map is also much smaller than it used to be. If I can't order anything, I can't spend any money. .. Often dishes are sold out. New cooks? New owner? Or just corona stress?

Since I moved to Marburg I have been looking forward to being able to come back during the break. The friends I was there with last week were delighted. And my return after the restrictions of the last few months has also been more than worth it. The break is still a gem among the Marburg cafés. Regional products, organic and always delicious. In addition, the view from the slopes of the Upper Town into the Lahn valley, especially when the weather is as nice as it was before, are simply priceless. :-)

We were in Marburg for the first time and were recommended the small cafe. It was beautiful and one of the nicest cafes I've seen. We felt right at home :).

Really great and relaxed location! Delicious breakfast and good coffee. The pancakes were a hit. In terms of quantity, the price is a tick too little for me, but still completely okay. I would love to come back, if only for the atmosphere!

The waiter was polite and careful, they have delicious cakes (tried chocolate one with almonds). But they don't pack food for take out (they don't have boxes so if you bring your own it's fine).

Great service and delicious food.

Restaurant with small terraces in the countryside. On the menu there is healthy from the garden. Accessible via the stairs to the old town, therefore a little quieter. Very friendly staff. Here is cooked with love.

The break is one of the coziest cafes in Marburg. Centrally located in the Upper Town, but away from the hustle and bustle. The dishes from selected ingredients and also for vegetarians and vegans is something. Small and cozy! A reservation is definitely useful. 5 stars - DESERVED!

Great friendly staff, cozy interior, wonderful terrace with a view over city. Food is delicious, they have some vegan options, home made bread and hummus, will definitely come again!

A definite must-see when visiting Marburg! During my semester there, this little cafe was the go to meeting place for my friends and I. The atmosphere is beyond compare, the crepes are to die for, and the views will take your breath away, furthermore, its location in the Oberstadt is perfect, situated near the best shopping in town and the picturesque timber houses that line the streets. I highly recommend this to anyone in Marburg; visiting, studying, or otherwise.

The place is nice, but the price quality ratio is not good. For breakfast the photograph for two people charge 31 euros and is not really anything special, four breads, orange juice (not natural), hot drink, fruit glass, some cheeses and hams. The amount of jam they served was laughable (delicious) but very little. The customer service is good, the presentation of the dishes too. However in Marburg you can find the same breakfast at a much better price, in a place just as nice for a more moderate price.

Regional food, homemade (sometimes the drinks too), many vegan options and the look is made with a lot of love. Excitingly housed on the slope, outside along a footpath down the mountain - you just have to fall in love with this shop ?

'The break' is a small jewelry box hidden in one of the small, steep stairwells in the upper town. Reservation makes sense since other people find it very nice here. Suitable for a quick coffee or an extensive breakfast

Maybe the most beautiful cafe i saw in Marburg. Excellent decoration and very good selection of products. It seems that they have paid attention to every little detail. Great place!!!

Vegans, check this place out! They have some great pancakes with fresh fruit on top. Tasty and gorgeous hidden gem. Usually is somewhat busy, but it's worth the wait.

Very nice cafe with friends

If you want a cosy place to have some me-time or a good time with a friend or two..but not more (the place is quite small and is often packed so make sure of reservations if you are more than 3 people) . The coffe is good quality and the menu is simple but with good variations and choices. They thought of vegans too which is a huge plus. The service is also great.

Tiny, super cozy café with a wide variety of dishes and friendly service. Always worth a visit, but not easy to find if you haven't been to Marburg before.
